With the exception of opening bowler Mike Smith – nine overs for 32 runs – South Devon’s bowling stats were x-rated

SOUTH Devon were spared further embarrassment when their game at Stoke Gabriel was washed out with the home side well on top.
Stoke’s top four of Isaac Mapima (85), Chris Harrison (40), Dan Bullock (50) and skipper Jack Tolley (72) plundered runs left, right and centre towards a total of 310 for five.
Tolley, who only faced 34 balls, dished out some brutal treatment to Noah Rider, James Allen and Dillip Salinda while accumulating seven fours and five sixes.
With the exception of opening bowler Mike Smith – nine overs for 32 runs against one of his former clubs – South Devon’s bowling stats were x-rated!
Tolley then picked up three wickets for 19 runs as South Devon collapsed to 38 for four in reply before the weather came to their rescue.
For Stoke it’s more of the same in the C Division West next season. South Devon drop back into the D Division West where they will start rebuilding after a terrible season that only contained three league wins.
