Salinda racks-up the runs then Hargreaves and Allen spin to win

SOUTH Devon handed out a 145-run hiding to Ivybridge 2nd XI as they stepped-up their promotion push in the D Division West.
Even without skipper Richard Beaumont and match-winning all-rounder Mike Smith, South Devon had too much firepower for Ivybridge.
Dillip Salinda fired a top score of 90 as South Devon rocketed along to 245 for six in 45 overs. Sallinda was at one end during stands of 114 with Jack Allen – he made 57 – and 66 with Harry Senior.
Senior got on with it in the latter overs to finish on 60 not out from 38 balls faced.
Harry Sadler and Alex Carter took two wickets each for the Bridge, although not that cheaply.
Ivybridge had plenty to do at 31 for four following an early going over from Mali Marshall (9-2-10-1) and Toby Goodman, who had three of the wickets to fall. Sadler (23) and Luca Turner (45) effected a mini-comeback that got the running total up to 120 for five. Then it all went pear-shaped.
Three wickets fell for no runs added and the spin threat of Louis Hargreaves (3-18) and Allen (2-12) proved too much for Ivybridge, who were bowled out for 137.
Second-placed South Devon trail leaders Paignton by 24 points and have a nine-point advantage over Barton in third spot.
